Travel is something I have really missed this last year, and with safety parameters in place, I am looking forward to being able to do so in the near future. I love finding good spots on a budget, and have put together a list for you below of five favorites that won’t cost a fortune!
Charleston, South Carolina
You guys know I love traveling to Charleston, so much so I have an entire city guide on all of the must-do’s! I love the balance of architecture, beach, shopping and food. There is typically reasonably priced airfare, great options for both hotels and BnBs, and you can usually fit everything in during a long weekend. It makes for a perfect girls weekend or solo getaway!
Scottsdale, Arizona
If you are the nature and spa-loving type, this is the destination for you! I love strolling around the Desert Botanical Garden, which doubles as the perfect destination taking photos and taking in all of the natural beauty. There is great hiking (I personally love Papago Park or Gateway Trailhead) and equally as great spots to unwind. You really can’t go wrong choosing a spa here, but I think my personal favorite experience was at the Joya Spa at the Omni.
Austin, Texas
Call me biased, but I love a Texas vacation. Austin is a city unlike any other, with really unique pockets providing totally different vibes. The shopping is great, the food is amazing, but I love the friendly, walkable vibe of outdoor patio restaurants and bars the most. You can usually find relatively inexpensive airfare into Austin, and it is only a quick drive from the airport to the center of the action. I highly recommend checking out Cosmic Coffee for delicious coffee and food trucks, I love bringing Harley!
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
No matter the season, this is such a fun travel destination for the entire family. The winter months are obviously perfect for skiing, but the warmer months make for a great trip for outdoor excursions like kayaking and horseback riding. Most of the hotels are cozy, cabin-style resorts that immediately give you that warm, home-like feeling. This is such a great spot to just unwind, unplug, and take in the beauty of the earth!
Gulf Shores, Alabama
There are so many gorgeous beachfront rental homes in Gulf Shores, it makes for a really great destination for large groups of people that want to travel to the beach together. You can find a perfect balance of city and relaxation here, as there are a lot of restaurants and attractions in the city as well. Definitely make sure to dine at Fisher’s and build a milkshake at The Yard!
