Throughout all my travel, there’s definitely one thing I’ve realized, there’s kind of a strategy to the beauty products I use every day. It’s the same logic I follow when deciding checked luggage or carry-on. Or, you know, the math that goes into choosing the perfect plane seat—I prefer a window seat myself! I figured out, I have my standard routine, my glam routine and then there are just products that I only use at home.
So, whenever I’m home and able to binge all my skincare and beauty, I’m in full comfort is the key approach. Now that I’m back home in LA and digging through my vanity, I promptly thought I’d share the seven beauty products I love to use to feel as comfy as possible for maximum chill. Just keep scrolling for my at-home secrets!
#1. Aztec Secret Healing Clay Mask—A messy one, especially for travel, which is why I stick to at-home mixology. If you’ve ever used this cult classic, you know the clay helps to draw out impurities, while absorbing excess oil.
#2. High Frequency Skin Therapy—My favorite part of any facial is always the devices! I often spend more time asking how I can get my hands on them at-home, then enjoying the masks or massages at the end. I make sure to keep this micro-current wand on hand at home to zap any pesky breakouts.
#3. Dr. Dennis Gross Pro Facial Steamer—Again, another ultimate at-home facial device that, unfortunately, you cannot travel with. I love how this helps to infuse hydration in my skin leaving it so radiant.
#4. Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLite Faceware Pro—Now this one looks like it’s straight from a futuristic movie! It uses red and blue LED light to boost your collagen production, destroys bacteria on the skin surface and clearly is a very at-home-worthy device.
#5. Necessaire The Body Exfoliator—Scrubs are another product I find myself opting out of when packing for my long-haul travels. I feel like my skin is already dehydrated and kind of out of sorts, so I leave my body scrubs at home. But, love them when I’m reunited!
#6. Ouai Chill Pills—There’s nothing better than relaxing in your own bath, am I right? Bath bombs aren’t super travel-friendly, so when I’m home I make sure to indulge.
#7. Drunk Elephant Baby Facial—Don’t get me wrong I’m masking whenever I get the chance, but there are a handful that I keep in my at-home routine. Baby Facial is one of those! While, I *love* the results, it leaves my skin a little sensitive, so I make sure to keep it simple and double-up on SPF for the next few days.
