Ok, we can all agree it’s very much winter in Dallas right now, but with the freezing temps, all I can think about is the promise of spring around the corner. (PS—check out my Instagram post here for ways you can support Texans in need right now.)
Since I’m all about transitional pieces, whether they’re spring to summer or winter to spring, I thought I’d round up some of my favorite looks that I can take with me into the warmer months ahead! Keep reading for some of the most versatile pieces I’ve purchased this season and how to style them for spring—pending Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction was wrong this year. Come on, Phil, give us a break.
1. Black Patent Leather
All black looks aren’t just for winter, and neither is pleather! These Commando pants are going to be a staple in my spring wardrobe with crop tops and camisoles. I love pairing them with sneakers for a more relaxed look, but they also go so well with a strappy sandal. PS: snag these leggings on Amazon while you can! They’re a super popular style and sell out often.
2. Cut-Out Sweaters
Right now I’m layering like an onion over my cutout sweaters, but come spring, they will be on full display! This beige number was an incredible find from Zara, but I have LOADS of these in my closet right now, including this open back beauty from Isa Boulder.
3. Moody Florals
I like a classic floral just as much as the next girl, but there’s something so sophisticated about a moody, dark floral—plus it’s the perfect pattern to transcend winter and spring. I paired this Nanushka sheer floral shirt for just a sneaky peek under a more modest vegan leather Nanushka dress, and the combination had me swooning. I felt equal parts TikToker meets boardroom boss. And speaking of florals—here are some incredible dresses for the spring!
