Sundresses and sandals define summer dressing, but I’m missing denim! One of my favorite Fall off-duty looks is a super comfy pair of jeans with a fuzzy warm sweater. But Summer is still going strong, so just picturing that makes me overheat. Today, I am definitely having a fall-inspired moment, so I decided to create a summer equivalent for warm weather denim styles. You may not think denim is breezy enough for summer, but let me change your mind 🙂 I have found the perfect warmer weather alternatives and great ways to style them!
Denim Cut-offs
There’s no new news here, but these are always my go-to on an 80º+ day. Some of my favorite jean shorts include these Versace Studded Denim Cut-Offs for a bold look and I also love these Paige Denim shorts for a simple look. When it comes to styling them, I love pairing a tank (or even a one-piece), a blazer and white sneakers. Casual chic!
Distressed Jeans
These are my favorite to style because you can dress up or down. You may think they’re just too hot for steamy days, but a loose fit with a knee rip actually provides a nice breeze! Right now I’m loving these Boyish Mikey Wide Leg Flares with a white tee or crop top to really play into a summer vibe.
Denim Alternatives
Now here are my favorite alternative denim looks. I’m loving this Blank Denim Overall Mini Dress which is SO perfect over a bikini for a beach day or over a graphic tee for a chill day with friends! I also love this Maggie Marilyn frayed denim jacket paired with loose white pants for a night out 🙂
So have I convinced you yet to try more denim this summer? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
