There is nothing like a good girls night! Good food, laughing until your stomach hurts, and being surrounded by the best of the best just never gets old. I love hosting events in general, but a night in with the girls is one of my favorite things to plan. I’ve included a few tips below to be the hostess-with-the-mostess at your next gathering with the gals!
Fun & Games
This may be my competitive side coming out, but I love a good game night. I always have a few fun games in the queue for a girls night in! My favorites lately are your classic charades, the For The Girls meme game, and Table Topics to spark some deep, meaningful conversation.
Good Snacks
I’m all about a good snack spread, and girls night is no exception. I’m a big fan of having a few appetizers like a charcuterie board or crudité platter set out ahead of time and then doing something fun like s’mores a little later in the evening. If you are local to Dallas and looking for an amazing grazing table to spruce up your event, I highly recommend Fount!
Keep it Cozy
Getting a group together without the expectation of dressing up or getting ready always makes for the best kind of night. I always make sure to have a bunch of fuzzy blankets and big pillows, too, to make sure everyone is super comfortable and able to relax and unwind.
Get Everyone Involved
The first thing anyone asks when invited to a gathering is “what can I bring?”, so I like to mix it up and will often provide a general theme for people to contribute to. I’ve hosted girls dip night, where everyone brings their favorite chip and dip combo (yum!) or have everyone bring their favorite small batch cocktail. It always ends up being a lot of fun and a chance to try something new.
Don’t Stress
Most importantly, know that there is no expectation of hosting an over the top gathering when you’re inviting your best gals over. Having a few snacks, good drinks, and some activities to get the party going will make for a perfect night in!
