I’m seeing this trend a lot lately, and wanted to share a few things that I’ve reflected on as I think about the topic.
Forget about Timelines
Because I’m a liiiiittle Type A, I was super focused on the when behind every goal I set for myself. Learning to be able to let go of timelines and be present is something I’m super proud of.
Quality > Quantity
This is something that has really resonated with me, especially as of late. I’d tell her that it is not how many friends you have, or how many things you own- but that quality of your friendships, experiences, and time.
Family is Everything
When all else fails, family is there. I’ve always been super close with my family, but I’d tell my young self that those long days in the gym or road trips to competitions would be some of my most cherished memories even as an adult.
It’s OK to Have Fun
I used to always be so worried about training and the payoff that I’d often pass on opportunities to do something fun or enjoyable with friends. I’d tell her that it is OK to have a little fun in between all of the of hard work.
Pink is Still In
Most importantly– she’d love to know pink will never go out of style! 🙂
