We’re always hearing about resolutions- things to change, hobbies to start, and goals to aspire to. While this is amazing, and I fully subscribe to things that help you become your best self, I also love to reflect on really great things I want to carry into the new year, too. Here are a few on my list:
Fostering Friendship
I am so lucky to have friendships from all phases of life I truly cherish. Taking the time to pour into these friendships definitely fills my cup, and I plan on doing a whole lot more of it in 2022, as well.
Me Time
I prioritized me time in 2021, and it was so beneficial. I plan to carry this over into the new year, focusing on giving myself at least ten minutes a day to practice mindful meditation or grounding exercises.
All The Greens
This past year has been a lot of longer trips traveling and being on-the-go, so I made it a point to get my greens in wherever I could and with every meal. Smoothies have been a lifesaver here!
Being Present
I want to keep the habit of being present and showing up for myself and others every day. Maybe it is less screen time, or enjoying a long walk with family after work, but a little meaningful moment goes a long way.
Trying Something New
I’ve always been a creature of habit, but want to continue thinking outside of the box and trying new things this year. Mine usually involve some type of food, traveling more, or picking up a new hobby.
Let me know what you’re carrying into the new year below!
Thanks for letting us know how you feel about your career and mostly about your life afterwards. You say your career didn’t define you. That what you do now does and that’s a surprise! A Gold Medalist, loved by the world yet you refused to stop inspiring people. There were bad times in my life but watching you always gave me an escape, For those moments, watching you.. I was happy. There are millions like me. So thank you. Thank you. Eugene St. Jude
