Denim is a staple that most of us reach for when looking to get back to the basics. I love that it comes in so many different shapes and styles so I never have to feel guilty about owning multiple pairs! As we’ve discussed, trends always find a way of coming back around and denim is no exception.
With all these new styles on the market, it’s hard to choose the ones worth the investment! So I’ve done the hard part and narrowed down my top 5 denim styles 🙂 These can all be worn multiple ways and are 100% worth the cost per wear. Keep reading to see what you’re missing in your closet, and a few ideas on how to style them!
#1 Knee Slit Jeans: For the days when you want to add a little edge to your ensemble, a knee slit is the perfect way to have some distressed detailing without compromising the rest of the look! I would pair these with something chic and polished like a crisp white button down and heels.
#2 Trouser Jeans: I love how trouser jeans combine a more formal silhouette with the most casual fabric out there! These are so easy to dress up or down and also look great tucked into knee high boots. Gotta love a style you can wear multiple ways!
#3 Baggy Light Wash: The boyfriend style, but dialed up a notch! This style pairs so well with some chunky dad sneakers and a bodysuit to complete the outfit. My general rule of thumb with baggier styles is keeping in mind there should only be one oversized piece in the look!
#4 Flare Jeans: A real throwback! These are making a comeback and as someone with long legs, I’m here for it! Flare jeans have the perfect length for pairing with a good pair of heeled boots or strappy sandals 🙂
#5 Straight Leg: These are now my #1 go to denim silhouette and I’m never going back! Dare I even say I love them more than skinny jeans? I love the slightly more structured fit and they pair perfectly with a vintage tee and sneakers!
XOXO,
