Happy Pride, everyone! Pride month has been another huge opportunity for me to learn and find opportunities to give back in some way! I always try to make my purchases meaningful and make a point to work with brands that share my mission to make our world a more inclusive place and amplify marginalized voices. To inspire you all to join me in making our purchases meaningful, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite brands that are donating to organizations to help amplify LGBTQ+ voices and are committing themselves to sharing their stories with the world! Keep scrolling for 5 brands I love even more for giving back during Pride month ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
One of my favorite beauty brands is making a $10,000 donation each to Le Refuge, a French organization that supports LGBTQ+ youth, and Sage, an organization that helps older members of the LGBTQ+ community. They’ve also launched five new shades of their Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick. With the prettiest rainbow packaging you’ve ever seen, of course 😍
#2 Reebok
One of my favorite things Reebok did was their ‘Proud Notes’ campaign highlighting LGBTQ+ activists and influencers and telling their stories. They are also donating $75K to the It Gets Better Project, a global LGBTQ+ outreach program that uplifts, empowers, and connects LGBTQ+ youth around the world.
#3 UGG
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I love a good UGG slipper! I was so happy to see that they released two new slipper styles: their Fluff Yeah sandals or the new Disco Checker Slide in Pride-inspired colorways! They also unveiled their #UggPride campaign and pledged to donate $125,000 from its collection to GLAAD. A nonprofit organization that works to ensure inclusivity in the media.
#4 Nike
Nike has always been at the forefront of fighting for equality which is one of my favorite reasons to work with them! During Pride month this year they have pledged $500,000 through $25,000 grants administered by the Charities Aid Foundation of America—to 20-plus organizations fighting for LGBTQ+ inclusivity. These grants will go to local causes like Campus Pride, You Can Play and the Point Foundation so change can happen at the grassroots level.
One of my favorite clean beauty brands! They’ve created a “Pride Kit” with 3 of their best selling products (highly recommend!) The kit consists of their cleanser, exfoliant and a mask. And all proceeds will be donated up to $75K to support GLSEN, an organization working to create safe and inclusive schools for LGBTQ+ students!
