One of my New Year’s resolutions is to dedicate more time to sitting down with a good book and sticking to it! Like many people, I’ve always enjoyed reading, but as I’ve gotten older, it’s been harder to find books that I love. This year, I’ve decided to set a realistic goal that I know I’ll be able to finish and enjoy to the end! There were so many to choose from, but I boiled down my list to 5 titles that I can’t wait to read. I like variety when it comes to reading, and this list definitely reflects that—from motivational books to fictional romance novels, keep scrolling for my list of 5 books to get through in 2021! Let me know if you decide to pick any of these up and share your thoughts in the comments below! Happy reading ❤️
#1 Untamed by Glennon Doyle
This was definitely a favorite for so many friends of mine in 2020. Everyone describes it as a self help book but even better because of how relatable it is. The cover was a huge grab for me (I know they say don’t judge a book by its cover, but it’s gorgeous!) and I can’t wait to read it!
#2 The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
I’ve heard so many amazing things about this book and what a great story it is. I love that it’s written by a Black author and just by reading the book jacket, I can tell it’s a page turner!
#3 Becoming by Michelle Obama
I love a good memoir, especially when it’s written by such an inspiring author! Michelle Obama has always been so relatable, and I look forward to reading her story and learning even more about her. It might be on the longer side, but I’m ready for the challenge!
#4 The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson
I’ve heard so much about this one and I really hope it lives up to the hype! One of my goals for last year was focusing more on me and less on the haters and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. Everyone needs a little of this and I can’t wait to crack this one open and learn some of Mark’s tricks!
#5 In Five Years by Rebecca Serle
And last but not least, I am so excited to read this! I love a good fiction love story, and this one sounds like I won’t be able to put it down! I like that it’s a little shorter and I’m sure it’s a page-turner! Will let you all know what I think ❤️
XOXO,
share.
