Now that we’re kicking off a new year, it’s time to do a wardrobe refresh especially for those basics that I use daily! As I’ve gotten older I’ve definitely started to lean more towards the “capsule” wardrobe mentality so I can mix and match all the different pieces I have in a similar color palette and create more than just a few outfits! This is a great way to use your basics in a way that gets you the most bang for your buck. The next 7 basics are the pieces I use the most on frequently that I think are either worth investing in, or finding affordable alternatives for that you can replace easily without breaking the bank! Keep scrolling for my 7 affordable basics that I’m refreshing this year that I think everyone should have in their closet.
#1 White Tee
This is a non-negotiable for any capsule wardrobe! It can be worn so many ways either casually or dressed up and is such a classic piece, I usually like the crew neck style the best!
Every girl needs the perfect blazer in her closet! This one is so important especially for the days you need to feel like a BOSS at the office. Finding the perfectly fitted blazer is an interview staple and can always be dressed up or down!
#5 White Button Down
I always talk about styling with a crisp white button down and truly believe they’re such a staple in my closet! They’re definitely tough to keep clean but after a few months I love giving them a refresh because of how frequently I wear them.
#6 Cropped Tank Tops
Since we’ve all been living in loungewear for what seems like a year a good cropped tank has been an absolute essential. I live in these when I’m wearing sweats at home, working out, running errands, the list goes on and on and proves what a basic it really is in my wardrobe!
I’ve gone through many stages of what my favorite denim styles are but I always come back to a classic straight leg! I love how they look with sneakers or heels and they’re truly the most versatile style that I own and keep reaching for.
