I’m definitely not an avid reader by any means, but I do enjoy a good beach book or listening to Audible while traveling. Below are five books I’ve really enjoyed this year- let me know what to read next below!
Verity Colleen Hoover
This was a book I read cover to cover pretty quickly. It was full of twists and turns in the plot until the very end. I will say, there were moments I had to put it down and do something happy (aka pet Harley), but it grabbed and kept my attention the entire time!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo Taylor Jenkins Reid
This book was full of old Hollywood glamour and the author did such a great job of creating the perfect picture of that time period and continuing to weave that in throughout the book. It had such strong characters and a great storyline, 10/10!
The Silent Patient Alex Michaelides
Reading this was probably the fastest I’ve ever read a book. It was so well written and wasted no time getting into the plot. The end made me really hoping for a sequel- did not disappoint!
Atomic Habits James Clear
I’d read this awhile back, but re-read some of my favorite sections this year when I needed a quick little mental check in with myself. In the “self-help” category, this book mainly speaks to how tiny changes and adjustments can make a massive difference in your life. I really love the message and how the author spoke to this without feeling preachy!
City of Likes Jenny Mollen
I really really liked this book, especially being a content creator. It was a fictional piece, but Jenny drew a lot of parallel to what she has experienced in the industry, while still keeping it light-hearted and funny. It was really enjoyable and easy to read.
