I’m a basic Fall girl. I have zero shame. If you saw my stories recently, you know this. If you also have no shame in your basic Fall girl game, this post is for you. Let’s embrace the season, ladies. Don’t be embarrassed of things that bring you joy! Life is too damn short. And, if you don’t have a sense of humor, it’s best you X out of this post now.
Let’s get into it.
7:30 AM
It’s 7:30 AM on a crisp, early Fall morning. What are you going to do? Why, get in your car and drive (or walk) to your local Starbucks. It’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Season, and we’re not going to miss out on one single day.
8:00 AM
It’s time for a basic fall girl stroll. Get on your comfies (I’m super into these Madhappy sweats lately), make sure your PSL is in hand, pop in your favorite podcast and get in your circadian rhythm walk. If you don’t know what that is — I highly recommend looking it up!
10:00 AM
You know what time it is. It’s Apple orchard time. Grab your besties and map out your nearest orchard. Bonus points if they also sell homemade apple cider doughnuts.
12:30 PM
Cozy brunch vibes, here we come. We’re talking warming foods like Shakshuka and sweet potato hash, and you can’t forget the pumpkin pancakes. You only live once, so you need to order a few sweet treats for the table.
2:00 PM
In true Fall girl fashion, it’s time to hit up a local museum with your girls. Bonus points if you have a grand and stone-laden library in your town or city. Browse the installations and emerging artists, or check out a book if you opted for the latter.
4:00 PM
Back at home, it’s time to unpack your bounty from the orchard. And, there’s only one thing to do: bake an apple pie. I LOVE this recipe from Broma Bakery if you don’t have a family recipe to follow.
6:00 PM
It’s already so dark so early in the day, so dinner it is. Takeout on the floor of the living room with your best friends is so nostalgic of college and Fall to me. Sushi, crispy house salads with extra dressing, and miso soup is on the menu.
7:30 PM
We’re ending the night the only way we know how: with a watch party of Hocus Pocus. Even if you’re not a Halloween girl, this movie still gives you all the feels. Tell me you know what I mean!
