Little Black Book Dallas: Best Places for Dinner

I could probably write a whole novel on all of the delicious dinner spots in Dallas, there is certainly no shortage! But the whole purpose of a Little Black Book is to share my true ride-or-dies, the places that would make me pause a Netflix show, change out of my comfies and head to dinner—just for the food!

Joe Leo

If you love Tex-Mex, this is the spot for you! Joe Leo recently opened and did not disappoint. This is a bold statement, but I’d say it’s one of the best quesos I’ve had!

Lucia

Take whatever reservation you can get, seriously. I went on a random Tuesday night and it was absolutely worth it. The authentic Italian pasta and atmosphere cannot be beat.

Catbird

This space is such a cool concept with its namesake meaning “best seat in the house”. There are several different pockets of unique seating spaces indoors and outdoors, all intended to feel like the best.

Townhearth

Townhearth is the perfect place to celebrate something special. It has the coolest vibe, friendliest staff and most delicious food. Make sure to snap a photo with the yellow submarine inside!

Dahlia on Ross

I feel like I’m in a botanical garden whenever I dine here, the decor is just beautiful. The indoor/outdoor seating and eclectic feel make for a perfect girls dinner or happy hour!

Shinsei

This is my go-to sushi spot in the city. If you’re looking for a fun date night idea, preparing your own meal on the hot rock is super fun, too!

Hudson House

Hudson House totally reminds me of summer days living in New England. From the decor, to the menu, to the drinks- everything is bright, fresh and delicious.

Drakes

If you’re feeling fancy and want a little old Hollywood glam, Drakes is the place. When you walk in it feels like you’ve stepped into the 1960’s, where there is no shortage of amazing food, good music and good times.

Beverley’s

Beverley’s gives me all the French bistro vibes from the exterior, to the interior decor, to the food preparation. Highly recommend the winter salad!

The Charles

The menu is pretty small, but it’s absolutely worth the trip. The atmosphere is really nice for a small gathering or family dinner, and the lobster parmesan gnocchi is unreal!

Monarch

The modern-Italian food and the views of the city are equal parts amazing! I definitely recommend the shrimp scampi ravioli.

I can’t write a post about dinner without giving a quick shout out to takeout. You guys know one of my most favorite things to do is grabbing a quick meal and hanging at home with Harley. Eatzis and Dive are two of my go-to’s for quick, grab-and-go bites! Maybe I’ll do a whole LBB on my favorite takeout spots next. What do you think?
