Blazer season is upon us, or did it ever really end? Thoughts? Either way, gone are the days when blazers were solely worn from fall to winter or from nine-to-five really. I mean you could totally get away with wearing one every day of the week! They’re practical, they pull together any outfit and there’s always new styles emerging. Plus, as you transition into fall, you can add more layers underneath. There may be many street styles inspiring your new go-to accessory, but there are a few keys to styling this staple item for fall. Check out my guide on how to style a basic blazer for fall below.
Style #1: Monochromatic
An all-black or all-white look will be timeless AND, as an added bonus, it’s extremely easy to pull together. A monochromatic look is great for any season and I love power-dressing with 50 shades of monochrome!
Style #2: Off The Shoulder
One-shoulder styling is probably one you’ve never thought of trying with a blazer, but you should. I love pairing a slightly oversized blazer with a dress or skirt to play on the silhouette, then opting for a cold-shoulder and it’s a look.
Style #3: Athlesiure
Ok, by now, you know athleisure is my thing. You can take your casual athletic-inspired looks to the next level by adding a blazer into the mix. I love throwing on a blazer over a two-piece set.
Style #4: Polished
If you tend to be a little more structured, blazers paired with a silky skirt or basic trousers is the perfect balance for a more refined look. I always try to pair more feminine pieces with structured staples to create soft-sophisticated looks.
Heading into fall those are some of my favorite ways to style basic blazers! Do you still love this staple for your wardrobe? Let me know in the comments below!
