We all have those days, or weeks, when it is just hard to be productive. Below are four ways I like to reset both my body and mind to push through a seemingly long week. I’d love to hear your tips below, too!
Time Batching
I’ve shared about this before, but when I’m feeling especially overwhelmed or having trouble checking things off my to-do list, I try time batching. Having dedicated times for email, errands, and even rest, allow my mind to only focus on the task at hand.
Mix Up My Workspace
Heading to a coffee shop, work co-op, or even a friends house, can be just the shift I need to feel refreshed in what I’m doing. If I’m not feeling exceptionally productive in my home work space (because let’s be real, the WFH life can be hard sometimes!) going to a place with less distraction is key.
Go For A Walk
Sounds simple, but always does the trick. On the days that feel like they are dragging on, I give myself thirty minutes to step away from work and catch some fresh air. It makes a world of difference, and I often find myself problem solving the task at hand while clearing my head!
Create an Oasis
Making my home office feel luxurious and cozy gets me excited to start my work day. Adding a cozy blanket or your favorite candle can be such a game changer.
