I’m sure most of you know by now, this Dallas girl is officially HOME! I’m so excited to finally be back in my hometown, but of course, I will miss LA and I’ll be back and forth for work. Since I’m finally getting back into the swing of things, I thought I’d revamp my Dallas City Guide and add a few new spots to inspire you all to check out my favorite city once it’s safe to travel again! I know we’re all feeling some wanderlust right now, so keep scrolling for all the inspo you need for your next getaway ✨
Where To Stay:
This is an easy one! The Joule checks all the boxes. Conveniently located in the heart of Dallas and super accessible with tons of cute shops and restaurants within walking distance! The hotel itself is complete with a luxury pool and spa, what more do you need?
Pro Tip: Downtown can be a bit quiet on the weekends, so if you’re in town you’ll want to check out other neighborhoods!
If The Joule is booked, check out these other amazing hotels: Hotel Zaza, The Adolphus Autograph Collection, or The Statler Dallas.
Where To Eat & Drink:
Brunch/Breakfast: If you’re staying at The Joule and want a classic breakfast experience, you’ll want to start your day at CBD Provisions for modern southern comfort food. If you’re looking for a lighter breakfast you need to try I Love Juice Bar or The Juice Bar! These are some of my favorite spots in Dallas with the best juices and acaí bowls, perfect for the summer heat 🙂 Other great brunch options include: Cafe Brazil and Jonathan’s (chicken & waffles, need I say more?) or Origin if you’re craving a yummy salad!
Coffee/Snacks: If you’re like me and love a matcha latte with an Instagrammable backdrop, check out Magnolias Sous Le Pont. Other great options are La La Land Kind Cafe, Toasted, Halcyon and Boulangerie (amazing croissants!)
Lunch/Dinner: Check out Honor Bar if you’re shopping in Highland Park Village and feel like enjoying a glass of rose 😉 Bird Bakery is a super cute lunch spot with IG worthy decor! If you’re looking on the lighter side Shinsei sushi is a local favorite. For Mexican with another Instagrammable moment, El Bolero is your spot! If Italian food is more your vibe, Fireside Pies has the BEST pizza and Lucia for the best pasta of your life.
Happy Hour/Bars: Time’s Ten Cellars is a great wine bar for a casual girls night! Leela’s Wine Bar, ABV, Parliament, and Hide are also great options. If outdoor patios are more your style, Happiest Hour has the best rooftop patio in the city with an amazing view. Sixty Vines is also perfect for date night drinks!
What To See:
If you’ve begun to notice a trend here, it’s food. So naturally the top of my list for what to see in my favorite city is the Farmers Market! You can’t go wrong with either The Market Shops or The Shed, they’re both amazing! Another cool Dallas spot to explore is Deep Ellum. Probably the cutest and most quaint part of town, lined with shops and restaurants. Best known for the art mural scene and the fact that it pretty much has something for everyone 🙂
Where To Shop:
The Shops at Highland Park Village are definitely my favorite for outdoor shopping! They have all the favorites, Hermès, Céline, and Fendi but also have some delicious restaurants and bars perfect for a cocktail on the patio. If the heat isn’t for you, you need to check out NorthPark Center! The shopping selection is amazing and it also doubles as a cool art destination, definitely worth checking out.
Where To Sweat It Out:
One of my favorite activities whenever I’m home! If you’re looking for a different local workout experience, Fit Social Club, GRIT, and Sessions Pilates are amazing. You can also never go wrong with a classic Soul Cycle class!
