If you’ve tuned into my IG stories lately, you know I’m in the process of getting my life set up in Dallas! And now that I’m knee-deep in unpacking, it’s time to get excited about my favorite part: DECORATING! For me, home decor is truly about finding the balance between designing a space that’s equally functional as it is beautiful.
I’ve always been a fan of Scandinavian minimalism and neutrals. As I start the journey of decorating my new home here in Dallas, I thought I’d take you guys along with me and share some of my favorite brands to shop for home decor. While incorporating my personal style, I also want to pay homage to traditional Texas design in the patterns, textures, and colors I choose.
I like to take a high/low approach by investing in furniture pieces that will last, and mixing in more affordable accessories for finishing touches! Keep scrolling for 5 of my go-to home decor brands that check all the boxes!
#1 Pottery Barn
There is truly something for everyone at this tried-and-true home staple. The quality of Pottery Barn’s furniture is top-notch, and their home accessories are so chic and timeless. I was able to find items that spoke to my love for minimalism while also tying in my Texas roots. They also have a free interior design service if you’re stuck in a rut and need some guidance, which I’m planning to make use of!
This woman-owned, Black-owned ceramics company has me DROOLING over every single hand-crafted piece. What says “Texas” more than terracotta? Her shop is in high demand right now, but once she drops more pieces, I *promise* it will be worth the wait. For now, check out her work on Instagram.
One of the best brands for reasonably priced, well-made baskets and accessories! I’m planning to store a bunch of my at-home gym equipment in these gorgeous woven handwoven baskets. Their emphasis on ethically sourced, quality products is one of main reasons I keep coming back.
#4 West Elm
West Elm has been one of my go-to brands for a really long time! They’re the slightly more affordable than other large retailers, and I can always find so much inspiration in their store. From kitchen cookware to quality furniture, everything they carry is definitely made to last!
Brooklinen has been my go-to for bedding and linens for years now. I’m outfitting my master and guest beds with their incredibly soft bedding, and I’m going for *best host award* by putting a plush robe in every room for my guests! Hotel vibes all the way.
