Now that I’m basically moved into my new home here in Dallas, it’s time to stock up on essentials! I’ve really made an effort recently to start swapping out products I know aren’t great for the environment for more sustainable alternatives. I’ve found that making small, gradual changes like this is way easier than going green cold turkey! Some of the sustainable options can definitely be a bigger up-front investment, which can make it tough. However, there are some changes that I’ll share below that were super easy to make that I encourage all of you to try, too!

#1 BAMBOO PAPER TOWELS
One roll of these towels replaces six months (!!) of paper towels! They’re machine washable and all you have to do is throw them in a delicates mesh bag—so easy.
#2 STASHER SILICONE REUSABLE BAGS
These are definitely an up front investment, but so worth it. These are made to last and a great replacement for single-use plastic bags that I use pretty frequently for food storage!
#3 TABLET HOUSEHOLD CLEANING SOLUTION
There are so many options on the market for this. Basically the idea is your cleaning solution comes in a dissolvable tablet! Just add water to the spray bottle (usually reusable glass) and you’re good to go!
#4 STAINLESS STEEL REUSABLE STRAWS
I love these! They’re so practical and way better than paper straws. They also come with a handy little cleaning brush so whenever you’re washing them, you have everything you need!

These are a great replacement for dryer sheets! Just add them to any load of laundry (white for whites and grey for darker color loads) and they bounce around with your laundry helping save drying time, reducing lint, and even wrinkles or static!

An amazing swap for microfiber towels! I didn’t know this, but regular microfiber is produced using non-recyclable microplastic, which can be harmful to our water supply. I like to use these bamboo fiber towels for wiping down surfaces with more buildup like my stove or refrigerator!

Tired of accumulating those annoying thin produce bags? Order these mesh produce bags now! They come in SO many sizes and are so easy to clean. I bring mine to the grocery store to load up my produce. They’re also great for storing fruits and veggies at home to keep flies away.
#9 GLASS FOOD STORAGE CONTAINERS
These are amazing for leftovers! I’ve officially hopped off the plastic Tupperware train, swapped for glass containers and I’m never going back. They’re airtight and keep everything fresh while in the refrigerator since glass doesn’t retain any smells or stains!
