There’s a lot to look forward to as we head into the New Year. In the coming year, I can’t wait to share exciting projects I’ve been working on, gear up for more travel and see where 2020 takes me–including in the fashion space.
This year I experimented with a lot of color and some new trends, all while staying true to the basics: a good pair of jeans and a t-shirt. And, if I do say so myself, I found some really great pieces in 2019.
So I thought, what better way to ring in the New Year, than to upgrade your closet? Piece #1: Faux Leather Blazer
Ready or not, the ‘90s are back. It’s time to upgrade your Prince of Wales check to something a little more refreshing like a faux leather option.
Piece #2: Inventive Knits
Updated, unique knits will be key to avoiding a winter style rut! They’re practical but still chic.
Piece #3: Straight-Leg Denim
Cropped ankles and skinny silhouettes are out, just wait. I predicted this in my 6 Trends to Help You Ring in the New Year and I’m sticking by it.
Piece #4: Updated Cardigan
It seems like everyone’s styling the cardigan shirt trend these days, which means it’s a perfect trend to try and style for the New Year.
Piece #5: Oversized Bag
Micro bags just may be out in 2020–it will be all about the oversized totes.
