Confession: I’m a design junkie. Even though I don’t spend a lot of time at home, I still love to decorate and keep my house clean and (obviously) *trendy*. One of my favorite rooms to decorate is my kitchen. It’s my sacred spot where I spend the most time (because, food, obviously). I love having it stocked with the cutest cups and plates. This may sound weird, but I swear things taste better in certain cups (i.e., Moscow Mules). So, I’m always on the hunt for the perfect glasses and mugs. As you may know, I always start my day with hot lemon water and my bulletproof coffee. There’s just something about a nice, big mug. My favorite are the Bodum mugs because they keep your drink hot for so long. I also make a big pitcher of lemon water to drink throughout the day. This really holds me accountable to my preferred water intake. I love this Anthropologie Karuma Medium Pitcher. It’s the perfect size and is also super instagramable (what really matters).
Another decor trend I love: PLANTS! Since I’m constantly traveling I can’t risk having my living plants die, I buy faux plants because they last forever! They are the perfect accessory for any room and you can never have too many. One of my favorites is this Fiddle-Leaf from World Market. There’s nothing a plant, pretty coffee table book, and a good candle can’t fix.
Decorting a house can get really expensive so I love to mix in some high and low pieces. My favorite store for pieces that won’t break the bank is Target. They have the cutest vases, small faux plants, and they’re always collaborating with great design houses to create the chicest decor.
