Los Angeles is one of my favorite cities on earth. The warmth, the breathtaking natural landscape, and the healthy way of life are just a few things that make LA such a special place. And, even better than living in LA is staycationing in LA. Read on to discover my must-see places when looking for a relaxing weekend in the City of Angels.
WHERE TO STAY
Is there really anything more quintessentially LA than the Beverly Hills Hotel? I think not. Be sure to grab lunch at the Polo Lounge and ask for a seat on the patio.
WHERE TO EAT
My favorites include Nobu in Malibu, Gracias Madre, the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Mastro’s Ocean Club, Malibu Farm Restaurant, Michael’s, A.O.C., Jon & Vinny’s, Kismet, Kreation Organic Kafe, Alfred Coffee, Catch, and Bestia.
WHERE TO EXPLORE
Take the time to drive up the coast to Malibu. Even if you don’t have a set plan, the stunning ocean and cliff views are definitely worth the trip. Another one of my favorite spots to explore is Venice, particularly Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Full disclosure: I might be biased because this street, lined with the cutest boutiques and eateries, abuts my favorite grocery store of all time (Erewhon), which is a destination in itself for me.
WHERE TO SHOP
In no apparent order, my LA shopping holy grails include: Melrose Place, Rodeo Drive, Century City, Malibu Country Mart, and The Grove.
WHERE TO WORKOUT
LA is chock-full of new and innovative workout spots. If you want to try something different, hit up Rise Nation. If you’re into hot yoga to hip beats, try Y7.
